Gerry Gluckman served in various capacities including as a member of the South African Meat Board for seven years and Chairman of the of the Livestock Auctioneers Association for twenty years.
He was also voted Agricultural Man of the Year in 1982.

During the early 1970’s, Gerry’s son  David, followed family tradition by joining the family business on completion of his university degree.

The subsequent injection of David’s youthful enthusiasm and energy balanced by Gerry’s extensive experience, ensured the continued growth and successful diversification of the business to include  divisions dealing in poultry and imported boxed meats.
